| Patrick Moore |
Patrick Moore co-founded the cross-platform production company, 12th street jam, with David Jensen. 12th street jam produces original content for the broadband space, including new shows with Wolfgang Puck and Julia Sweeney for Yahoo!. Moore is an award-winning writer whose columns appear regularly in the Los Angeles Times, Newsday, and the Chicago Tribune. In addition, Moore is a contributing writer for the Advocate. Moore’s most recent book, Tweaked, takes a personal look at the impact of the crystal meth crisis and addiction in America. Of his previous book, Beyond Shame, Publishers Weekly said, “As an examination of how rage informs the creative process, this book has no equal in recent memory.” Moore is currently working on the first book to be published by 12th street jam books – The Principles: Happiness and Integrity in Love, Health, Parenting, and Work. The book is based on the blog Moore writes for 12th street jam that appears on Yahoo! Health.
Moore is also seen as an authority on the use of digital media as a preservation and exhibition tool. Earlier in his career, he worked with some of the country’s leading cultural institutions, from the Getty Institute and the Academy Film Archive to the New York Public Library and the Guggenheim Museum, to create preservation programs for experimental film using digital imaging. He holds degrees in English Literature and Direction from Carnegie- Mellon University. Moore serves on the Steering Committee for the Interactive Media Peer Group of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
